IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO:
~
grow more like Jesus

~  get to know a small group of people from the congregation better
~  explore passages from the Bible with them in a supportive setting
~ have quality time to pray together
~
enjoy social times, such as a summer barbeque or an outing
THEN JOINING A HOME GROUP COULD BE FOR YOU!

Sharing fellowship, encouraging one another, caring for each other, developing our faith, improving our knowledge and understanding of the Bible, growing in God`s love in an open and honest, friendly and informal, sensitive and supportive environment… All these aspects are at the heart of our Home Groups.

At present, we have a number of active Home Groups
with membership ranging from half a dozen to a dozen people, meeting weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, for about two hours, mostly in the evenings, and generally in the home of the Home Group leader. On the first Wednesday evening of the month we have the opportunity to forego our Home Group meeting and to join in corporate prayer in the Church
.

Until March 2019 Home Groups will continue to use either:
The Prayers of Jesus or Acts 1-12: Church on the move.
NEXT SERIES:
The Church of England LENT PILGRIM  2019 booklet:
"40 DAYS OF REFLECTIONS on THE BEATITUDES" by Bishop Steven Croft
(scroll on down for a taster of "LENT PILGRIM")

Our studies are sometimes linked to the sermons preached on Sunday mornings. Anyone not able or not wishing to commit to meeting regularly can be linked to a Home Group as an associate member and will be encouraged to keep in touch and to attend social events. The Home Groups have a pastoral responsibility in the Church and this key role is taken very seriously.

For more information please contact our vicar Trev Cranshaw, on 01275 871458 or the Home Group Coordinator, Rob Johnson, on 01275 798330. Either person can introduce you to a Home Group leader or find a member of a group to talk to you about why being in a group is important to them. Details of current studies are displayed on a noticeboard in the Church Centre.

Please consider seriously whether this could be for you should you wish to encounter God and explore what a difference knowing Jesus makes to your life!
